This restaurant design was a second-year project during my interior design program at Vancouver Island University. We were asked to design a restaurant based on an assigned location.
Gemelli means twins in Italian and is also a type of pasta which made this a great fit for this business. It's also a nod to my twin brothers.
The theme for this design was vineyard inspired and I wanted the space to feel inviting and upscale which is why I opted to include a fireplace and banquet-style seating. I added barrels as the supports for the hall table and made sure to build in ample wine storage above the bar.
