Ashikaverse is fantasy adventure webcomic I am creating in my spare time. It follows eighteen year old, Ashika as she unspools the mysterious disappearance of her twin sister Akota and discovers her destiny.
This webcomic is still a work in progress which means that concept art is top of mind! I wanted the comic style and colours to be reflected in the concept art so I set out to draw a landscape piece that showed off the style I am going for.
I want Ashikaverse to be simple, cute, and fantastical so I leaned into natural lines and rounded shapes. Below you can see my cover art thumbnails in both the vertical and square orientations, a specification sheet with the main colours, font pairings, and pens I will use to draw the comic.
Finally at the bottom of the page you will see a concept piece I designed for the world including a video of the process work.
